Edna M. (Nadeau) Costa, wife of the late Manuel E. Costa and Wilfred Bombardier, died at the Life Care Center of Raynham Monday, Aug. 19, 2013. She was 96. Born, raised and educated in Raynham, she was the daughter of the late Condy and Eva (Chappron) Nadeau. Employed as a stitcher for Rennies Curtain Factory for many years, she retired in 1982. A communicant of Holy Family Church and past president of the Holy Family Womens Guild, Mrs. Costa was a 2002 recipient of the Marian Medal Award. She was a former activities director of the Sociable Seniors of Raynham and member of the Red Hat Society. Survivors include a son, Roger Bombardier and his wife Maureen of Swansea; a daughter, Barbara Rice and her husband William of Raynham; a brother, Edward Nadeau of Ill.; a sister, Yvonne Quinlan of Raynham; six grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; a great great-granddaughter; and many nieces and nephews. She was also the sister of the late Condy, Alfred, Orell, Leo, William, Albert, Anna, Ida, Florence, Rena and Rita. Services were held privately at the convenience of the family. Burial was at St. Joseph Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Holy Family Church, Capital Campaign, P.O. Box 619, East Taunton, MA 02718.
