Claire B. Moynihan (Reilly) age 83, of Norwell, formerly of West Roxbury, passed away peacefully on December 8, 2013, surrounded by her loving family. Beloved wife of the late Timothy Moynihan, loving mother of Maureen Williams and her husband Patrick Robertson of Holliston, Neil Moynihan and his wife Lisa of Kansas City, Kansas and Siobhan Dardinski and her husband Paul of Norwell. Much loved and cherished grandmother of Jeffrey and Curran Williams, Josephine and Timothy Max Moynihan, Hannah, Claire, Timothy and Maeve Dardinski. Daughter of the late Patrick and Delia (Curran) Reilly of Hyde Park. Sister of the late Marion Albani (Reilly) and Joseph Reilly. Dear sister-in-law of Shirley Reilly of Medway. Claire especially loved children. She devoted her retirement years to caring for her treasured grandchildren. A dedicated Boston Public School teacher, she taught in the Elihu Greenwood, Cannon and Joyce Kilmer schools. Claire was an avid reader and lifelong learner, she graduated from Notre Dame Academy in Boston and Emmanuel College, Class of 1951. She earned graduate degrees at Boston University and Boston College. Claire was a survivor of pancreatic cancer. She suffered the effects of Alzheimers with grace and good humor in her later years. The family is very grateful for the kindness of the aides and nurses at Grove Manor Assisted Living and the steady support of friends. A funeral mass will be held on Saturday at 10 AM in Saint Mary of the Sacred Heart Church, 392 Hanover Street, Hanover. Visiting and reception, 11:30-3:30, Orta Restaurant, 75 Washington Street, Pembroke.
