Obituary Condolences

Nancy M. Lemoine, 56, of Saugus, MA. Passed away on the afternoon of Thursday, April 18, after a lengthy illness. She was surrounded by loving family and friends and was at peace. Nancy, a most beloved and distinguished educator at Saugus High School as well as Belmonte Middle School, began her teaching career as the drama coach for Saugus High School and eventually expanded her duties to include those of drama director, choral director and to create the improvisation group Needs Improvment as well as several girls and boys quartets. Nancys profound influence on the young people whom she mentored has been immeasurable. She created a safe place for students to express themselves while learning, growing and gaining confidence. Her dedication culminated in 2012 when she was awarded the Leonidas A. Nickole Award for Theater Educator of the Year by the New England Theater Conference. She was the organist at the Cliftondale Congregational Church for many years, a member of the Sweet Adelines as well as The Theatre Company of Saugus, a Toast Master member and a member of the Saugus High School Attendance Appeals Board. Nancy is survived by her brothers; Theodore J. Lemoine, Jr. and his wife Joan of Randolph, Ronald Lemoine and his wife Judith of Delray Beach, FL, nieces; Heather Lemoine, Karen Lemoine, Alison Lemoine-Whelden, great nephews; Matthew Lemoine- Foley, Finnegan Whelden, great niece; Maggie Whelden. Donations in Nancys memory may be made to Dr. John Schorge's Research at MGH Cancer Center, MGH Development Office, Attn: Lindsay Simpson, 165 Cambridge St, Suite 600, Boston Ma 02114. Service Information; A funeral service will be held at the Cliftondale Congregational Church, 50 Essex St., Saugus on Saturday at 9:30 a.m. Relatives & friends invited.
