Brien, Grace R. - Scituate  
Grace Ruth Brien, age 31, of Scituate and Pembroke, passed away unexpectedly at home on Dec. 14, 2014. Beloved daughter of Barbara (Perry) and Joseph Jay Brien Jr. of Scituate. Loving and devoted sister of Kyle A. Brien and girlfriend, Tracey Siciliano of Quincy and loving sister and best friend of Molly Folan and husband Timothy of Pembroke. Very special aunt of Isla and CeCe whom she loved dearly. Also survived by many aunts, uncles, cousins and friends. Graduate of Scituate High School, Class of 2002 and Fashion Institute of Technology, New York City, 2007. Grace was the most loving, caring and giving person to all who knew her. She brought a ray of sunshine everywhere she went and we all are better people for having known her, loved her and have been loved by her. Reach for the moon and even if you miss, you will land among the stars. Grace will always be loved and be missed. Services and interment private. Budd Jr., Charles J. - Scituate  
Charles J. Budd Jr., of Scituate, passed away at home peacefully December 7, 2014, surrounded by family after a brief illness. Charlie grew up in Roxbury and was the son of the late Charles and Catherine (Fay) Budd, and brother of George, late of Norfolk. He attended Commerce High School in Boston where he played football, and co-captained the track team. Charlie graduated in 1945. He served his country overseas in both World War II and Korea, as a Sergeant and combat MP in the U.S. Army, and worked for the U.S. Postal Service at the Postal Annex in South Boston for 30 years, and also for the town of Braintree for ten more years. Charlie was an accomplished distance runner as a freshman at Boston University. He finished 15th in the 1950 Boston Marathon as a member of the B.A.A. He is survived by his beloved wife of 60 years, Frances (Bulman) Budd of Scituate; three children, Timothy and wife Teresa of Pembroke, Phyllis Cochran and husband Kevin of Plymouth, Elizabeth Rhinehart and husband Gary of Ocala, Fla. Charlie also leaves behind his nine grandchildren, Annalise, Charlie, Teresa and Shane Budd, Sean and Sydney Cochran, Edward and Shannon Twist, Cody Rhinehart; and one great-grandson, Caden Twist. He also leaves behind many nieces and nephews. Funeral services were Friday, Dec. 12, at 9 a.m. from the Richardson-Gaffey Funeral Home, 382 First Parish Road, Scituate. Funeral Mass at 10 a.m. at St. Mary of the Nativity Church, 1 Kent Street, Scituate. Visitation was Thursday 6-8 p.m. Interment in St. Joseph Cemetery, West Roxbury.
