Obituary Condolences

James E. Kennedy of Stephentown, N.Y., passed away March 19, 2013, after a two-year illness. He was 82. Jim was born and grew up in North Carolina and then entered the Army, serving in Korea. He was a member of the DAV and a life member of the VFW. Before moving to New York, Jim resided in Scituate, Mass., where he worked for the DPW for many years. Jim enjoyed gardening and tending to his lawns as well as hunting and fishing. Up until four years ago, he wintered in Florida. He leaves his wife, Audrey; daughter, Kathleen of Averill Park, N.Y.; a stepson, Michael Martin; his son and daughter-in-law, Stephen and Mary Schnyer; daughter and son-in-law, Arlene and Joseph Longo, all of Stephentown, N.Y., and daughter, Cathy Provenzano of Holbrook, Mass.; as well as six grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren. He also leaves two sisters; a brother-in-law and a sister-in-law; and many nieces and nephews in North Carolina. Services were private. Burial in a veteran's cemetery at a future date.
