Raymond G. Russell of Lighthouse Point, Fla., and Scituate, passed away after a brief illness peacefully, at the age of 88, Jan. 11, 2013, in Pompano Beach, Fla. Mr. Russell was the president of Russelectric, Inc. Founded in 1955 by Mr. Russell, Russelectric has grown into the worlds most respected manufacturer of automatic transfer switches, power control systems and equipment in the world. Mr. Russell was a veteran of the U.S. Navy and served in World War II. He was an avid pilot and boater. Raymond is survived by his wife, Carol C. Russell of Boca Raton, Fla., and Hingham; his four children, Suzanne Russell, John Russell, Lisa Russell, and James Russell; and his five grandchildren, Jennifer Russell, Matthew Russell, Amanda Russell, Julianna Russell, and Jazzmin Russell. He is also survived by his sister-in-law, Jean Russell, and her children, Laura, Glen, Susan, and Ellen. A memorial gathering of friends and family will be held Saturday, May 4, from 3-6 p.m. at Richardson-Gaffey Funeral Home, 382 First Parish Road, Scituate, followed by a buffet reception from 6:30 to 9 at PJs restaurant, 227 Chief Justice Cushing Highway, Scituate.
