Scott A. Bailey Obituary
Scott Alexander Bailey, an extraordinary husband, father and brother and lover of the Lord, died June 1, from a massive heart attack in Zephyrhills, Fla. He leaves behind his beloved wife, M. Charlotte; his children, Kim, Colby, Melissa, and Ben; sister, Linda; and grandchildren, Jackson Elliott,Vincent, Sean, Noah, Bridget and Kelly and niece Lindsay. He was predeceased by parents, Jackson Elliot and Ruth Vibert Bailey; brother, Jeff; and nephews, Douglas and David. Scotty attended Huntington Prep and the University of Vermont before taking over the family business, The Bailey Company in Scituate, Mass. As a master plumber, he later headed up the college maintenance program at the University of Georgia. He spent most of his life working for God on missions to Nicaragua, the Potter House, his church and his community. He loved, boating, fishing, golf, traveling, cooking and car racing, but his first love was his family. He took them on many an adventure and always had a laugh and story to tell. Everyone was touched and changed by his contagious faith and enthusiasm for life. Services were held at the South Shore Baptist Church, at 578 Main St., Hingham, Mass., June 8, at 1 p.m.
