Margaret (Walls) Allen, 87, of Scituate died June 5, 2014. The beloved wife of the late Walter S. Allen Jr., she was the loving mother of Nancy Vitek and her husband George of Wilbraham, Janet Allen of Scituate, Walter F. Allen and his wife Margaret of Wolcott, Conn., John R. Allen and his wife LeeAnn of Hanover; adored Gram of Robert Vitek and his wife Wendy, Jeffrey Vitek and his wife Leesa, Daniel Vitek and his wife Kathryn, Karen Baker and her husband Nicholas, Jonathan Allen, Michael Allen and his fiance Charlene Vincent and Matthew Allen; loving Great Gram of Lilith, Garrett, Grant, Ryan and Julia Margaret Vitek, Owen and Ian Baker, Hunter and Griffin Allen; daughter of the late Magorisk and Elsie (Ames) Walls; sister of Catherine Chase and her husband James of Portland, Maine, Richard Walls of Rockland and Gerald Walls and his wife Eileen of Abington; sister of the late Eleanor Littlefield, Magorisk Walls, David Walls and Thomas Walls. Also survived by many nieces and nephews who were an important part of her life. Margaret was a graduate of Rockland High School, Class of 1944. She was a member of the First Trinitarian Congregational Church and active participant of the churchs Couples Club. She was a girl scout leader and a member of the Order of the Eastern Star. She retired as Postmaster of the Greenbush Post Office in 1989, after 23 years of service. Visitation was held at the Richardson-Gaffey Funeral Home, 382 First Parish Rd, Scituate, Monday, June 9, from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. A funeral service was celebrated Tuesday, June 10, at 10 a.m. in the First Trinitarian Congregational Church, 381 Country Way, Scituate.
