Chastina M. "Tina" Melcher (Jubett) of Sharon passed away July 27th at the Epoch @ Sharon surrounded by her loving family. Born in Boston, she was raised in Brighton and graduated from Brighton High School. She attended Northeastern University where she received her Associates in Criminology and received her LPN Certification from Foxboro State Hospital. She and her husband operated the Danbury House Restaurant in Danbury, NH for 5 years during the early 70's. She later worked for Bridgewater State Prison as a Nurses Aid and the Head of Volunteer Services for several years and later went into the Peace Corp in the Dominican Republic from 1987-1989. Beloved wife of the late William P. Mother of Judith A. Stevens of Plymouth, Ruth M. Parker of Sharon, Chastina W. Pozzi of FL, Marie C. Underwood of VA, Lewis C. Melcher of Norfolk and the late William P. Melcher. Sister of Phyllis Gould of Sharon, Kenneth Jubett of N.H. Sister-in-law of Louise Melcher Mittenberg of Foxboro. Visiting hours at the Dockray & Thomas Funeral Home 455 Washington St. Canton Monday 5-8 pm. Funeral mass at Our Lady of Sorrows Church, Sharon Tuesday afternoon at 1 pm. Burial Rock Ridge Cemetery, Sharon. Donations may be made in her memory to the 480 Pleasant St. Watertown, MA 02472 or the family requests you to do a kind deed for someone in need as Tina so often did. The family would like to thank the Staff at the Epoch of Sharon for their loving and compassionate care during Tina's 5 years there.
