Barbara (Replogle) Carter Berquist, 81, of Charlton, formerly of Dover and Nantucket, died on Saturday, April 20, 2013. Beloved wife for 46 years of the late Manson H. Carter; and of the late J. Philip Berquist. Loving mother of Deborah Carter of Dover and Nantucket and Stephen Carter and his wife Sandra (Montt) of Sherborn. Stepmother of David Berquist and his wife Christina of Millington, NJ and Peter Berquist. Devoted grandmother of Carter Roman of Needham, Scott Roman of Boston, Brant Carter and his wife Subaiou of Jamaica Plain, Tucker Carter of Studio City, CA and Dionis Carter of Sherborn. She also leaves 6 step-grandchildren. The daughter and only child of the late Margaret (Hecker) and William Replogle, Barbara was born in Providence RI. As a child, Barbara moved to Needham and graduated from Needham High School in 1948. She attended the College of Health and Rehabilitation Science, Sargent College, of Boston University. She devoted herself to her family and friends and loved spending time with them at home, at the beach or travelling. She volunteered her time and energy to many causes including The Girl Scouts, The Salvation Army, and The Masonic Learning Center for Children. She was a member of Brae Burn Country Club and the College Club of Boston. A Funeral Service will be held at the Carter Memorial United Methodist Church, 800 Highland Ave Needham on Thursday, April 25th at 11 AM Relatives and friends are kindly invited to attend. Visiting hours in the Eaton Funeral Home 1351 Highland Ave Needham on Wednesday from 4 to 7 PM. Interment Needham Cemetery. In lieu of flowers donations in Barbaras name may be made to the Salvation Army, Attn: Development, 25 Shawmut Rd., Canton MA 02021 or to The Masonic Learning Center for Children, 458 Newtonville Ave, Newton MA 02460-1925 (Attn.
