James E. Sadler of 60 Washington Street in Somerville, Massachusetts passed away on January 12, 2014 at the age of 82 years. Mr. Sadler was born in Baltimore, MD on August 17, 1931. He was raised in a family of six boys and one sister by his father Raymond and his mother Viola Owens Sadler. James enlisted and served in the National Guard from 1949 to April 23, 1952 then entered the United States Army
on April 24, 1952. He was a veteran of the Korean War
. He served overseas in Italy, being honorably discharged as Corporal James E Sadler on April 29, 1960. He was employed in the construction business and also in the manufacture of fire equipment for the Fire Department. He leaves behind two surviving brothers, Carroll Roger Sadler of Delaware and Robert Sadler and his wife Sandy of Elmore, Ohio. He will be sadly missed and was tremendously loved by many friends and relatives, notably Tena and George McNeil and their son Stefan of Alton, New Hampshire and his dear friend Sally Klessens and her family of Somerville, Massachusetts. James Sadler will be interred at the Bourne Massachusetts Veterans Cemetery after cremation. There will be a memorial mass said at St. Ann Church on February 8, 2014 at 4pm to commemorate and celebrate his life. May he rest in eternal peace until we meet again. God rest his soul.
