Mary Ellen McHugh, 52, passed away peacefully August 1, 2013 at Sitka Community Hospital in Alaska. Her sons, daughter-in-law, and family friends were with her. Mary Ellen was the daughter of Eleanor (Seaward) and the late Malcolm McHugh of Stoneham, MA. She attended St. Patrick's School and Stoneham High School. In 2012 Mary moved to Sitka, Alaska with her sons. She loved her family, photography, and being outdoors. She enjoyed researching her family genealogy, playing pool, campfires, movies and music. She had a lifelong dream of living in Alaska and she enjoyed taking in the beautiful scenery. She is survived by her Mother Eleanor, brother Raymond of Reading, and sister Tracey, her children, son Christian Watson and his wife Elizabeth and their son Caleb Brouillet, son Gerard Watson all of Sitka, Alaska, and daughter Barbara Watson and her daughter Hannah Watson, step-daughter Leah Watson and step-son Joel Watson all of Belfast, Maine, and grand-daughter Makayla Langelier of Sandy, Utah. Mary Ellen also had many aunts, uncles and numerous cousins. There was a memorial mass at St. Patrick's Parish in Stoneham on Monday September 2, 2013 at 12:00 in Mary Ellen's honor. The family welcomed friends and family to attend.
