Obituary Condolences

Doris P. (Estabrook) McKay, lifelong resident of Holbrook, passed away peacefully, at home with her 4 children by her side on July 27, 2014, at the age of 89. Born and raised in Holbrook, Doris was a graduate of Sumner High School in Holbrook. Doris was an officer at the Winthrop Congregational Church in Holbrook for many years. In her free time she enjoyed embroidery, sewing and cross stitch, however, spending time with family is what brought her the most joy. Doris was the wife of the late Stewart M. McKay. Loving mother of Jeanne L. Boyden and her husband Howard of Conway, Mass., Virginia G. Rayner of Holbrook, Rosalind A. Lasky and her husband Frank of Croydon, N.H. and James S. McKay and his wife Susan of Pembroke. Daughter of the late Osgood B. and Fannie E. (Kenrick) Estabrook. Sister of the late Robert K. Estabrook. Also survived by 5 grandchildren. Reposed at the Cartwright Funeral Home, 69 So. Franklin St. (Rte. 37), Holbrook. A funeral service was held on Monday, Aug. 4, at 11 a.m. in the Funeral Home. Relatives and friends were respectfully invited to attend. Visiting hours was on Sunday, Aug. 3, from 4 | 8 p.m. Burial in Union Cemetery, Holbrook. Should friends desire, memorial contributions may be made in her name to the Winthrop Congregational Church, Improvement Fund, 16 No. Franklin St., Holbrook, MA 02343.
