Herb N. Staples, longtime former Stoughton, Mass., resident, passed away March 8, 2013, at the age of 89 years, in Palm Harbor, Fla. He and his wife Marjorie moved to Palm Harbor, Fla., after Herbs retirement from the town of Stoughton as the school departments electrician. Herb was a proud military man having served in the Army Air Corps during World War II. He is survived by Marjorie, his wife of 64 years; his children, Joan Cromwell and her husband John of New Britain, Conn., and Donald Staples and his wife Diane of Stoughton; three grandsons, Daniel and Steven Staples, Jelani Dodson; and one great-grandson, Steven Staples Jr. He was one of the really good guys. All who knew Herb and his family are invited to an interment service to celebrate his life Saturday, July 20, 2013, at 11 a.m. in the Evergreen Cemetery, Stoughton.
