Mona C. (Holmes) Ramsdell, 83, a longtime resident of Stoughton, died at Blue Hills Alzheimers Care Center in Stoughton Tuesday, May 20, 2014. She was the wife of the late Lloyd H. Ramsdell Jr. Born in Boston, she graduated from Roxbury Memorial High School for Girls. She was a resident of Stoughton for over 30 years. Mrs. Ramsdell was a bookkeeper for John Hancock Life Insurance Company for 20 years before retiring over 20 years ago. She enjoyed crocheting, painting, reading, traveling, playing cards, outings with the Stoughton Seniors and spending time with her family. Mrs. Ramsdell is survived by her children, Lynn K. Struck, Mark K. Ramsdell and Steven W. Ramsdell, all of Stoughton. She was the grandmother of Billy, Mark, Karen, Steven Jr., Sarah, Lydia and Luke; and the great-grandmother of Haley, Alexandra, Cathryn, Ryan, Owen and Joselyn. She was the sister of Arnold Reggie Holmes of Las Vegas, Nev., and Alice Rich of Billerica. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews. Funeral service was held from the Farley Funeral Home, 358 Park St. (Rte. 27), Stoughton, Friday, May 23, at 11 a.m. Visiting hours were prior from 10-11 a.m. Interment in Massachusetts National Cemetery in Bourne.
