David M. Parmeter, 55, of Maynard and formerly of Ayer, died on September 29, 2013, at his home surrounded by his loving wife and children. He was the beloved husband of Maureen (Coughlin) Parmeter, and wonderful father to Seth, Morgan and Madison. Born in Meriden, CT to Albert and Estelle (Perron) Parmeter, David grew up in Ayer, graduated from Ayer High School in 1977, and later graduated from Fitchburg State College. He loved spending time with his large and extended family and friends, but especially enjoyed watching his children on the softball and football fields. Along with friends, they enjoyed many camping trips to Old Orchard Beach together as a family, as well as spending as much time at the ocean as possible. In the fall he took great pride in his Halloween decorations, making the most of his favorite holiday. In addition to his wife and children, he is survived by his mother Estelle (Perron) Parmeter of Leominster, his brother Stephen of Westminster, sister Deborah Fentress of Texas, devoted family friend Walter Hurd, and predeceased by his father, Albert Parmeter. He is also survived by a large loving group of family and friends. Family and friends were invited to visiting hours on Thurs., Oct. 3 from 4:00-8:00pm at the Acton Funeral Home, 470 Massachusetts Avenue (Route 111) in Acton. Funeral Mass was held Fri. Oct. 4th at 9:00am in St. Bridget's Church, corner of Sudbury and Percival Street, Maynard. Burial followed in St. Bridget's Cemetery, Great Rd (Rte 117) Maynard.
