Constance (Lowell) Saarinen, 72, a resident of Sterling and East Dennis, died July 22, 1013 at Emerson Hospital, Concord aftera long battle with ovarian cancer. She was the beloved wife of Newton Saarinen to whom she was married for 49 years. Mrs. Saarinen wasborn in Concord the daughter of the late Steven and Edith (France) Lowell. She graduated from Maynard High School and the University of Massachusetts. She enjoyed singing with the Sweet Adelines and dining at the Cape and at the Leominster Elks on Sundays. In addition to her husband, she leaves two daughters: Rebecca Saarinen of Gardner and Jennifer Jourdain of Jefferson; a sister LouiseMoniz of Acton and four grandchildren Shawna Duguay, Dylan Safford, LucJourdain and Alexandre Jourdain. Funeral services will be held Saturday, July 27 at 11:00 AMin the Fowler-Kennedy Funeral Home, 42 Concord St., Maynard. Rev. Vicki Hammel of the Union Congregational Church will officiate and burial will be in Glenwood Cemetery, Maynard. Visiting hours will be Friday from 5 to 7 PM at the funeral home.
