Fay W. Hamilton, 95, of Sudbury, passed away November 21 after a period of declining health. She was the loving wife of Chester Hamilton, who predeceased her in 1993. Hamilton and his late wife Katherine Lavelle-Hamilton of Dobbs Ferry, NY. Also surviving are 5 grandchildren: Elizabeth R. Marrero, Kristien L. Ward, Frances F. Hamilton, Douglass W. Hamilton and Katherine W. Hamilton, and two great- grandchildren, Cian and Cole Ward. Fay was a fifty-seven year resident of Sudbury, a long-time member of St. Elizabeths Episcopal Church and was a founding librarian at the Josiah Haynes Elementary School library, where she worked for many years. She enjoyed gardening and was as well-known for her iris gardens, as she was for her legendary chocolate chip cookies. Along with her strong love for family, Fay had a soft spot for golden retrievers. Funeral services are scheduled for Saturday, December 2 2017, at 10:30 a.m. at St.Elizabeths Episcopal Church, 1 Morse Rd, Sudbury, followed by interment at New Town Cemetery, 357 Concord Rd, Sudbury. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations to Buddy Dog Humane Society, 151 Boston Post Rd, Sudbury, MA 01776.
