Peter C. LaGrassa Obituary
Peter C. LaGrassa, 53, of Acton, MA formerly of Sudbury, MA, died on Jan. 22, 2018 after a courageous battle with cancer. Born in Concord and raised in Sudbury, MA, Peter was the son of Margaret LaGrassa of Sudbury and the late Frank LaGrassa. He attended the local scho- ols and was a 1982 graduate of Minuteman High School. A small engine mechanic, Peter worked most of his career at Moscariellos in Acton but was also known as a jack of all trades. His hobbies included fishing, cooking, and antiquing. Peter was the epitome of a family man who always put others needs first. More than anything he loved to spend his days with his wife, children, dog Jordan, his extended family, and friends. In addition to his mother, Peter leaves behind the love of his life, his wife of 34 years, Michelle (Grant) LaGrassa; their beloved children Stephanie L. Manning and Peter A. LaGrassa; his son-in-law, Bret A. Manning; his brothers Paul and Michael LaGrassa; his sister Teresa Boisvenue; and many nieces, nephews, in-laws, and extended family. He is predeceased by his father Frank, his sister Donna, and brother Carl. Family and friends are invited to visit Thurs. Jan. 25th from 4pm -7pm at the Acton Funeral Home, 470 Massachusetts Avenue, Acton. Peter donated what he was able for continued research for the fight against cancer and was hopeful for a cure for someone down the line. In lieu of flowers, gifts may be made in memory of Peter LaGrassa to support cancer research and patient care at Dana-Farber Cancer Institute,P.O. Box 849168, Boston, MA 02284 or via www. dana-farber.org/gift. Memorial page actonfuneralhome.com.
