Paul Emery, 66 of Framingham died Sunday, January 20, 2013 at Metrowest Medical Center surrounded by his loving family after a courageous battle with cancer. He is survived by his devoted wife, Dottie Cavicchio Emery of Framingham. Paul was born in Boston, MA and raised in Sudbury, MA, the son of the late George and Marie Emery. After graduating from Lincoln Sudbury High School, he enlisted in the Navy. He served aboard the USS Suffolk County (LST-1173) during the Vietnam War. Paul was a skilled carpenter and owner of Emery Construction for 40 years. He took great pride in his work and used his carpentry skills in many ways both personally and professionally. Paul loved life. He was an avid boater who enjoyed spending time at Lake Winapasaukee in NH. He loved to travel especially on cruises. He loved good food, corvettes, and spending time with his family and friends. Besides his wife, he is survived by his son, Stephen Pailler and his fiancee, Nancy Picconi of Grafton, his daughter, Karen (Pailler) Bent and her husband Rusty of Sudbury. He was also the proud Grandfather of Jordyn, Blake, Allison, Andrew and Joseph. Also survived by many aunts, uncles and cousins. Calling hours at the Eugene J. McCarthy and Sons Funeral Home, 11 Lincoln Street, Framingham, will be on Wednesday, January 23 from 11:00am to 12:00 pm followed by a service at 12pm. Relatives and friends are welcome to attend.
