Robert A. Zapasnik (Bob) 82 of Sun City, Az formerly of Sudbury, Ma passed away on April 11, 2013 following a courageous battle with multiple myeloma. He never lost his legendary sense of humor or his ability to lighten a serious moment with a joke or a laugh. He turned frowns into smiles wherever he went Bob was born on Christmas Eve in E. Cambridge, Ma. He served in the US. Army during the Korean War and was an active member of the Sudbury Minutemen and Militia re-enactment group for many years. He was a member of the Institute of Electrical and Electronic Engineers and was involved in many NASA projects. After retirement, Bob was the handyman to call in the Sun City area. He could fix anything! Survivors include his sons Karl and David Zapasnik, daughter Lisa Gottlieb (Curtis), former wife and Mother of his children Alice Schofner, grandsons Kenneth I. Topham (Lindsey) and Adam Robert Zapasnik, sister Dorothy Dixon and nephew John Dixon Jr. He will be sadly missed by his longtime companion and best friend Joan M Joyce. Predeceased by daughter Amy Zapasnik, grandson Andrew Topham and brother Edward Zapasnik. Private arrangements by Advantage Golden Door Chapel Funeral Home, Youngtown, Az.
