Loretta Baillie Obituary
Loretta (Anderlorhr) Baillie, age 82, wife of the late Joseph Baillie, Sr. of Swampscott, formerly of Marblehead, died at North Shore Medical Center, Salem following a brief illness. Born in Mishawaka, Indiana the daughter of the late Joseph and Pauline (Blum) Anderlohr, she attended local schools. Following her graduation from high school, Mrs, Baillie completed her nurse training, married her late husband and moved to South Bend, Indiana where they began their family. A few years later, they moved to Marblehead in the early 1960s where they raised their children in a loving and warm home. A talented and artistic woman, Mrs. Baillie had an artistic flair which she shared with her children and grandchildren. Among her many talents she enjoyed crafts of all typesand had been awarded Best in Show for her stain glass art at the Topsfield Fair. She further looked forward to the summer and her gardens. She was an active member of the Catholic Church, and was a devoted mother, grandmother and great grandmother. Mrs. Baillie is survived by four children John Eric Baillie, MD and his wife Joan of Boise, Idaho, Joe Baillie and his wife Nancy of Washington, DC, Kathleen Baillie of Salem and Edward Baillie and his wife Michelle of Marblehead. A brother Josef Anderlohr O.F.M of Cincinati, Ohio; four grandchildren Allison Sedwick. Traci Baillie Miller, Carig Baille Jr., twins Laura Wong Dock and Paula Baillie Lewis; five great grandchildren, Harry Miller, Charlie Miller, Alexancer Lewis, Kainoa Wong Dock and Dylan Rae Baillie. Her funeral was held on Friday, July 13, 2012 at 9:15 AM from the Murphy Funeral Home, 85 Federal ST (cor of North St) Salem followed by a Funeral Mass at 10AM at Our Lady Star of the Sea Church, 85 Atlantic Ave, Marblehead, MA 01945. Visiting hours were held on Thursday from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM. Interment will be in Waterside Cemetery, Marblehead.
