Obituary Condolences

Malcolm Swift Nichols, age 58, of Plymouth and Tewksbury, passed away September 25, 2014. He was the devoted husband of Allison Sue (Donenfeld) Nichols. Born in Boston, July 4, 1956, he was a son of Nancy (Bird) Nichols of N. Sandwich, N.H., and the late William D. Nichols. He grew up in Carlisle and was a graduate of the Middlesex School in Concord. He received his BSCE at Union College in Schenectady, N.Y. Malcolm worked as a real estate developer for most of his life. Since childhood, Malcolm spent his summers on Long Pond, where he took immense joy sailing his boat Tanager and was a proud lifetime member of the Chetolah Yacht Club. In addition to sailing, he enjoyed golfing, sitting by the fire or on the porch, and most especially, spending time with his family, to whom his dedication was immeasurable. Malcolm was the most loving father of Steffany Sterling Nichols of Brooklyn, N.Y., and Justin Bassett Nichols of NYC, N.Y. He was the cherished brother of Nat Nichols and his wife Maria of Plymouth, Bill Nichols of Concord and Deborah McDonald and her husband Tony of Wingina, Va. He was the beloved uncle of Billy and Lucas Nichols of Plymouth and Kippy and Abbey Nichols of Concord. A graveside service for friends and family was held in Cedarville Sunday, Sept. 28, 2014, at 11 a.m. Donations in his memory may be made to the Damon Runyon Cancer Research Foundation.
