Marguerite F. "Cindy" (Sumner) Nichols passed away peacefully at home on Friday, January 4th. The beloved wife of the late Charles "Chick" Nichols, she was 74. In 1967 she began her nursing career at Winchester Hospital where she remained for thirty-five years. Upon her retirement in 2002, Cindy was totally devoted to her beloved grandchildren. Cindy was a very active member of the woman's Lions Club of Woburn. Cindy will long be remembered for that wonderful sparkle in her eyes, compassionate demeanor, and tremendous love she had for her family. Cindy was predeceased by her husband, Charles T. "Chick" Nichols, her sister, Barbara Pendergast and brother, Roger Sumner. She is survived by her children, Patricia "Penny" Nichols-Cordero and her husband Andrew, Charles "Chuck" Nichols and his wife Denise, all of Woburn, Ralph Nichols and his wife Lory of Arlington, and Elizabeth "Betsy" DelloRusso and her husband David of Tewksbury, her siblings, Frances MacLean of Natick, Elizabeth "Bette" Byrnes of FL, Annette Coccoluto of Woburn, Judy Foley of Wilmington, grandchildren, John and James Cordero, Brianna and Jared Nichols, and Alex DelloRusso, and many loving nieces and nephews. The funeral was held from the Lynch-Cantillon Funeral Home, 263 Main Street, Woburn on Monday, January 7th, followed by a Funeral Mass in St. Barbara's Church in Woburn. Interment took place in Woodbrook Cemetery, Woburn. Remembrances may be made in Mrs. Nichols's memory to the Eric T.
