Obituary Condolences

Marilyn J. (Murphy) Fougere, 87, of Framingham (Saxonville), died Sunday evening, August 24, 2014 after a brief illness. Born in Somerville, daughter of the late Lorne and Hazel (Coulter) Murphy, she was the wife of the late P. Frank Fougere, former State Deputy of the Knights of Columbus, who died in 1999. A resident of Framingham for over sixty-five years, she was employed for the Johnson Wax Company in Framingham for over twenty years as an office administrator. She was an active volunteer for over twenty-five years at the Mary Ann Morse Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Natick. In addition, Marilyn was a longtime and active parishioner of St. Georges Church in Saxonville for over thirty years, particularly as a greeter at the 4:00 p.m. Saturday Mass. She is survived by her sister-in-laws, Marie T. Campbell and her husband William of Framingham, Jean A. Donnellan of Framingham, Claire V. Lundberg of Westwood and Nancy C. Martorano and her husband Joseph of Tewksbury and many nieces and nephews, grandnieces and grandnephews. She was sister of the late Lorne Murphy, Ellsworth Murphy and sister in law of the late Phyllis Cook. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Friday August 29, 2014 at 10:00 a.m. in St. Georges Church, 74 School Street, Framingham (Saxonville). Relatives and friends are kindly invited to attend. Burial will follow in St. Stephens Cemetery in Framingham. Calling hours will be on Thursday, August 28, 2014 from 4:00 to 8:00 p.m. at the Eugene J. McCarthy and Sons Funeral Home, 11 Lincoln Street, Framingham.
