Daisy Cameron Hunter Pierce, 86, passed away peacefully on January 23, 2014 at Bellamy Fields Assisted Living in Dover, NH surrounded by her family. After her parents and three older siblings emigrated from Scotland, Daisy was born in Ambridge, PA and was extremely proud to be an American. She spent her youth in Elizabeth, NJ, but moved to East Walpole in 1949 when she married Ken Pierce, her devoted husband of 63 years. She worked in the Walpole Public Library for 28 years at a job she loved. She was pre-deceased by her husband, Kenneth W. Pierce, her brother James Hunter and sisters Jean McMichael and Mae Brennan. She is survived by her children, Richard W. Pierce and wife Rachel of Westbrook, ME, Catherine P. Haedrich and husband Bruce of Eliot, ME and Janet P. Smith and husband Kevin of Windermere, FL; grandchildren, Samuel V. Pierce of NSW, Australia, Karen Haedrich of Tokyo, Japan and Lisa Haedrich of New York, NY. She is also survived by her brother, David Hunter of Tallahassee, FL, as well as several nieces and nephews. Funeral arrangements will be private. The family wishes to thank Beacon Hospice and the incredible staff at Bellamy Fields Assisted Living for their outstanding love and care.
