Helen (Brick) Carroll, age 90, died peacefully at home in Walpole, Massachusetts on Thursday, June 6, 2013. She was married to the late George A Carroll. Born in Waterbury, CT on April 9, 1923, she was the daughter of the late William Brick and Helen (Sullivan) Brick Holmes. She graduated from Sacred Heart High School in Waterbury with the class of 1941. She is survived by her son William, daughter-in-law Kathryn and three grandchildren Andrew, Emily and Allison of Walpole MA. She is also survived by her brother William Brick and his two sons Gregory and Brian and her brother Robert Brick, his wife Barbara their children Bobby, Terrance, Jim, Colleen and Susan and many great nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her eldest son George Carroll. Helen grew up and raised her family in Waterbury CT until 2001 when she moved to Walpole, MA to be with her son and grandchildren. She was a resident of Walpole, MA for the last 12 years. She worked as a clerk at the Waterbury Superior Court until her retirement. Before that she worked at American Brass in Waterbury. Helen was an amazing, caring woman who loved her church, reading, visiting Cape Cod and Block Island, but above all she loved her family deeply. She was active at the local senior center and recently began taking yoga classes. She was a very loving and generous mother and grandmother that had a smile for everyone. Helen will be missed deeply by her family and friends in both Connecticut and Massachusetts. Relatives and friends are kindly invited to attend a Memorial Mass at St. Marys Church, 176 Washington St., Walpole MA on Friday, June 28, 2013 at 9:00 AM In lieu of flowers, Memorial donations may be made to the Priest of the Sacred Heart Monastery, P.O.
