Mark Fontes age 58 years died in the UMass Medical Center in Worcester on Tuesday, July 2, 2013. Born in Norwood, Massachusetts on February 14, 1955, he was the son of the late Ralph and Jean (Regan) Fontes. He graduated from Walpole High School with the class of 1973 and went on to graduate from Dean College with the class of 1975. He was a life long resident of Walpole, Massachusetts. He was a truck driver for 30 years, working for New Penn Motor Express out of Cranston, Rhode Island, APA Transport out of New Jersey, and the Lorusso Corporation in Walpole. He was a member of the Teamsters Local 251 in Rhode Island and Local 25 in Boston. Mr. Fontes was a master of driving directions and had a passion for food network's Diners, Drive-ins and Dives. In addition, he was a drummer that enjoyed the local music scene. Beloved husband of Judith (Cochrane) Fontes. Loving father of Eric L. Fontes and Jillian C. Fontes both of Walpole. Brother of Christopher Fontes of Walpole. Nephew of Maryellen Naiva of CA. Cousin of Maureen Siegrist of OH, Marilynne Ryan of Walpole, and David Regan of Norton. Relatives and friends were kindly invited to attend the funeral service in the Anglican Church of the Redeemer Franklin, 30 Hayward Street, Franklin, on Saturday, July 6, 2013 at 10AM. Visiting hours were Friday, July 5, 2013 from 4-8PM in the James H. Delaney & Son Funeral Home, 48 Common Street, Walpole. Interment was private.
