Richard D. Little Obituary
Richard (Dick) D. Little, age 80, passed away peacefully on Friday April 4, 2014. He is survived by his loving wife of 54 years, Jean (Rambeau) Little. Born on June 7th 1933 in Lynn, MA, he was the youngest of four children of the late Lester W. Little and Hilda R. Little. Dick received his undergraduate degree from Boston University where he majored in Aeronautical Engineering. He served in the US Navy and worked for several years as an Engineer with Pratt and Whitney. Dick then went onto a career in Teaching, instructing Math for 27 years at Needham High School. Dick also ran his own Painting and Construction business for over 20 years. He lived for many years in Newton, MA and Walpole, MA before finally retiring and settling in Tucson, AZ with Jean in 2010. Dick is also survived by four children, Rich of Walpole, MA, Dianne and her husband Gary Lochhead of Walpole, MA, Douglas and his wife Kathy of Tucson, AZ, and Scott and his wife Christy of Southampton, MA, and two sisters, Phyllis L. Reed of Mountain View, CA, and Lois A. Simes of North Reading, MA. He was also the brother of the late A. Gordon Little. Dick and Jean have 10 wonderful grandchildren (3 granddaughters, and 7 grandsons). A private Cremation Ceremony took place in Tucson last week. The Little Family is planning to have a Celebration of Dicks Life in Walpole, MA on Sat June 21st, and all those who were fortunate enough to have known Dick are cordially invited to attend.
