Rachel M. (Paciotti) Berluti, age 91, died in her Walpole, Massachusetts home on Thursday, August 28, 2014. Born in Hyde Park, Massachusetts on February 2, 1923, she was the daughter of the late Raffaele and Marie (Vittori) Paciotti. She graduated from Hyde Park High School with the class of 1942. She has been a resident of Walpole since 1963 moving from Cumberland, Rhode Island. Rachel spent most of her adult life as a homemaker, raising and caring for her family. As her children grew, she worked part time for the Town of Walpole in both the Fisher Elementary School Cafeteria and the West Junior High School Cafeteria. She was a member of the Italian American Club an the Sisters of Italy in Walpole and enjoyed volunteering for both organizations. In addition, while her sons attended Walpole High School, she became a member of the Walpole High School Boosters Club. Rachel enjoyed playing bocce and bowling with friends, as well as listening to music, dancing, and sewing. Most of all she loved spending time with her family and would enjoy cooking for and entertaining them. Beloved wife of the late James P. Berluti. Loving mother of Marilyn R. Slutsky and her husband David of Canton, Dianne M. Gallotta and her husband Alan of Braintree, Robert R. Berluti and his wife Michelle of Westwood, and James A. Berluti and his wife Carolyn of Westwood. Cherished grandmother of Harrison Slutsky, Leanne and Alyson Gallotta, Alex, Bo, Mathew and Michael Berluti, and Nick, Ali, James, and Rachel Berluti. Sister of the late Lena DelPapa. Relatives and friends are kindly invited to attend Rachels Life Celebration on Friday, August 29, 2014 from 4-8 PM and Saturday, August 30, 2014 from 9-9:30 AM in the James H. Delaney & Son Funeral Home, 48 Common Street, Walpole. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated in Blessed Sacrament Church, 10 Diamond Street, Walpole on Saturday, August 30, 2014 at 10:00AM. Interment will follow in Saint Francis Cemetery in Walpole. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to: The , 20 Speen Street, Framingham, MA 01701.
