Barbara E. (Condon) Reidy, 88, passed away Friday, May 10, 2013, at her home in Concord, N.H. She and Thomas J. Reidy Jr. were married for 59 years until his death April 24, 2007. Born in Brockton, she was the daughter of the late Frank and Grace (Conley) Condon. A previous resident of Wareham, Mass., she had lived in Concord since 2010. Barbara graduated from Miss Farmer's School of Cookery in Boston and worked as a dietician. A homemaker, Barbara was known for her cooking and cake decorating skills. She deeply loved her family and friends, and was happiest when with her grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. She was an active member of St. Patricks Church in Wareham. She enjoyed reading, knitting, quilting, and giving lampshade lessons. Survivors include her children and their spouses, Paul F. and Susan Reidy of Wareham, Donna and John Reardon of Loudon, N.H., and Janice and Robert Jeffrey of Scarborough, Maine; her beloved grandchildren, Kendall Mancebo, Whitney Avila, Carolyn Oswald, Paul Reidy Jr., Corey J. Reidy, Shonna Calhoun, Melissa Ramos, Erin Reardon Lambert, Jack Reardon, Jeremy Jeffrey, Jenna Jeffrey and Dylan Jeffrey; and 10 great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by her eldest son, Thomas J. Reidy III; and her loving siblings, Jane Hurley, Frank Condon, and Betty (Elizabeth) Monahan. The family wishes to thank all of those who cared for her including The Birches at Concord, and Beacon Hospice. Her funeral will be from the Chapman, Cole & Gleason Funeral Home, 2599 Cranberry Highway (Rte. 28), Wareham, Friday, May 17, at 9 a.m., followed by a Mass of Christian burial at St. Patricks Church, High St., Wareham, at 10 a.m. Interment will be in St. Patricks Cemetery, Wareham.
