Obituary Condolences

Harold L. "Red" Wrightington, age 70, of West Wareham, died Wednesday, Dec. 10, at Jordan Hospital in Plymouth. He was the devoted husband of the late Patricia (Marshall) Wrightington. Loving father of Kelly Smith and her husband Chris of Middleboro, Brian Wrightington and his wife Michelle of North Conway, N.H., and the late Steven Wrightington. He is also survived by his grandchildren, Justin, Stevie, Christopher, Rylee, and Abbey; as well as many nieces and nephews. Born April 10, 1943, in Middleboro, he was the son of the late William and Margaret (Gomes) Wrightington. Harold went on to work as a foreman for Doug Beaton Cranberries. He was an all-around outdoorsman, he loved harvesting cranberries and fishing. Harold was humorous and fun loving, he always loved to make people laugh. He loved his grandchildren dearly and enjoyed his time with his family. A visitation was held at the Cartmell Funeral Home, 150 Court St., Plymouth, Saturday, Dec. 14, from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Cremation will take place at the Vine Hills Crematory in Plymouth. Burial in St. Marys Cemetery in Middleboro will take place at a later date. Donations in Harolds memory may be made to the Dana-Farber Cancer Research Institute, 44 Binney St., Boston, MA 02215.
