Stanley Pearson Obituary

Stanley Richard Pearson, 78, of Fitchburg Road, died Friday, August 17, 2012, at River Terrace Health Care Center, Lancaster. He l eaves his wife of 33 years, Carol N. (Johnson) Pearson. He also leaves his son, Stanley R. Pearson Jr. of Maryland; four daughters, Sandra Risso of Maryland, Rae Pearson of Belmont, Nancy Avery of Middleton, Lisa Pearson of Billerica; a stepson, David Koutoudakis of Tennessee; a stepdaughter , Gail Hatfield and her husband, David, of Chelmsford; a brother, Brad Pearson of Arizona; a sister, Rae King of Ramona, CA; ten grandchildren and three great grandchildren. He was predeceased by his stepson, Arthur Koutoudakis of Lexington. Before retiring in the mid 1990's, Mr. Pearson worked as an engineer and draftsman for several companies including MIT | Lincoln Labs and Raytheon Corporation. During the Korean Conflict he served his country in the United States Navy and was stationed on the USS Leyte. Mr. Pearson was born in Minneapolis, Minnesota, June 24, 1934, a son of Alfred A. and Gladys E. (Thoren) Pearson and resided in Lexington and Watertown before moving to Townsend over 30 years ago. He enjoyed music of all types, especially jazz, was an accomplished carpenter and was a member of the Marine Corps League of the Watertown | Somerville areas. Calling hours are 4-7 Tuesday, August 23rd at the T.J. Anderson & Son Funeral Home, 250 main Street (Rte 119) T ownsend Center. A time of prayer and reflection will be offered at 6:30 PM.
