Frances, Pam and Carl
Your father helped me and many other entrepreneurs start and sustain our businesses. I met him thru your mother, Ellie who had a business like mine in Atlanta but in Boston. Over the years we were active in the child care, then work life industry. Your parents were special people and will remain forever in my heart. Im so sorry I cannot be with you this thursday physically but I will be there in spirit. Mary Brown, Atlanta Georgia.

I had the privilege of working for TERC founded by Arthur Nelson in the early 70's on the nuclear medicine technology education project. He had a marvelous way of giving support to his staff and inspiring them to do their best work. He will be missed by many people.

I had the good fortune of working with Arthur Nelson for many years on the Board of TERC, one of his beloved organizations that he founded fifty years ago. I constantly learned from him, and admired his gentle manner, his clear vision and his constant emphasis on congeniality as a key component of working together.
I missed you when you had to retire from the board and I can only imagine how much your family will miss you, Rest in peace.

Dear Mr. Nelson,
I just mentioned your name last Tuesday and, again, in an interview for my college newspaper this afternoon, as you having given me definition in my later career as a "social entrepreneur!" Trying to find a sustainable business model to fuel the engine for social change is an effective strategy for success. While my instincts have always moved in that direction, I didn't have a term for it until you designated one for me. Your inspiration to me has continued my path towards helping others and I thank you for it. Be in eternal rest. Respectfully, Leroy Ashwood, CEO, BRAVE4Veterans.org
