Doris Gardner

Gardner, Doris (Yoder) - of North Hill, Needham, formerly of Wellesley, January 12, 2013. Born in Kutztown, PA. Beloved wife of the late Donald Y. Gardner. Loving mother of Richard Y. Gardner and his wife Baerbel of Needham, David Y. Gardner and his wife Martha of Peachtree City, GA and the late Jerry Y. Gardner. Sister of Richard Yoder of Naples, FL, and the late William Yoder. Also survived by 6 grandchildren, 9 great-grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews. Doris was a graduate of West Chester University of PA, taught music in the public schools of Smithtown, NY and taught piano lessons in Wellesley. Member of the P.E.O., Wellesley Garden Club, and Nehoiden Golf Club of Wellesley. She was a supporter of Wellesley Symphony Orchestra, was very generous in sharing her musical talents at North Hill, and was an avid bridge player. Memorial service will be held at the Wellesley Hills Congregational Church, 207 Washington St. (Rt 16), Wellesley, Sunday March 10 at 2 PM. Relatives and friends kindly invited. Interment Private.
