Joyce Ackerman, 68, of Stamford, CT, died April 23, 2012 after a brief battle with Breast Cancer. Joyce was a long time travel agent with a national following and the winner of many awards. She was well known for her elaborate itineraries. She was born in Natick, Mass and was predeceased by her mother Rita Renning and her father Philip Renning. Her greatest joy was the time spent with her twin granddaughters, Rachel and Jamie Ackerman. She is also survived by her husband Marshall, her son Jeff and loving daughter in-law Staci Ackerman as well as her mother in-law Dorothy Ackerman and father in-law Joseph Ackerman, her brother in-law Richard (Noreen) Ackerman and sister in-law Phyllis (Doron) Kochavi. Funeral services were held at Temple Beth El, 350 Roxbury Road, Stamford, CT at noon on Friday April 27th. Shiva was observed Saturday evening the 28th at 121 Thornwood Road, Stamford, CT and Sunday evening April 29th at 500 Country Club Drive Cherry Hill, NJ.
