Dianne McCracken Brown of South Natick and East Orleans, MA and formerly of Wellesley, MA and Vero Beach, FL died peacefully at home on October 21, 2011. Born December 16, 1934 to the late Robert Hamilton McCracken and Grace Anglada McCraken, she was raised in Cleveland, OH. She is a graduate of the Laurel School in Cleveland and Wellesley College. A lifelong interest in the arts sparked a rewarding career in interior decorating, active participation in the Museum of Fine Arts Ladies Committee, a leadership role in the reestablishment of the historical McKee Botanical Garden in Vero Beach, FL and most recently enthusiasm for studying and creating Sailor's Valentines. Her love for family, home, church, gardening and dogs inspired a rich and joyous life. She is survived by her very beloved husband, Jacob B. Brown, Jr. of South Natick, MA, was the devoted mother to Elise Sillers of Austin, TX, Jacob B. Brown III of South Natick, MA and the late Amy Boit of Wellesley, MA and grandmother to seven grandchildren. The family is planning a private service.
