Ellena E. (Thibault) Foote, age 93, longtime resident of Hamilton, died Saturday morning, April 14, 2012 at the Maplewood Care and Rehab Center in Amesbury. She was the wife of the late Louis P. Foote, who died in 1955. Born in Woonsocket, Rhode Island, May 4, 1918, she was daughter of the late Thomas and Ellena (Denault) Thibault. In her youth, she was a very talented vaudeville entertainer, charming her audiences with her beauty, charisma and talent as a dancer and singer. She was also a very gifted pianist. Ellena and her husband, Louis, worked many years as owners of the former Hamilton Diner. Becoming a widow at the early age of 37 and using her skills from her years at the diner with her husband, she went to work as a cook in the cafeteria at the Hamilton-Wenham School system. Mrs. Foote enjoyed family gatherings and was always a most gracious hostess. Kind-hearted, generous, loving and caring, the memories she leaves behind become treasures for the heart to hold forever. Her survivors include her daughter, Patricia Carnevale and husband Robert of Salisbury; two sons, Arthur Foote and wife Bonnie of Hamilton and Lawrence Foote of California; seven grandchildren, eleven great-grandchildren two great-great-grandchildren; a brother, Raymond Thibault of Salem, NH along with several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by a sister, Delvina Piatti and two brothers, Thomas and Arthur "Pete" Thibault. Funeral services and interment in St. Mary's Cemetery, Salem, MA will be private for the family.
