Theresa Worrell Obituary

Theresa B. (Veno) Worrell, age 87, of Weymouth, formerly of Quincy, died peacefully, Tuesday, May 21, 2013, at home, surrounded by her loving family. She was born in Quincy, raised and educated in Quincy schools and had lived in Weymouth for fifty-three years. Theresa was a homemaker but as a young woman had worked as an office messenger at the former Fore River Shipyard in Quincy. She was an avid reader and enjoyed bingo. Theresa was devoted to her family and especially to her cherished grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Beloved wife of the late Stanford J. Worrell, she was the devoted mother of Sandra Clifford and her husband Michael of Weymouth, Janet Worrell and Dave Sherman of Columbus, Ohio, Debra Egan and her husband Paul of Weymouth, Barbara Chaisson and her husband Richard of Pembroke and the late Alyce Stewart; loving grandmother of Paul Stewart and his wife April, Tara Egan and her fiancee Shauna Casey, Katie Giachetti, Joe and Alye Chaisson; cherished great-grandmother of Gage and Porter Stewart and Savannah Giachetti; dear sister of Dottie Caruso of Braintree, Hugh Sookie Veno of Carver and was predeceased by Florence Pitts, Helen OLeary, Cecilia Daly, Elizabeth Cormier, David Skippy Veno and Jeanne Newell. Also survived by many nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be conducted at the Old South Union Congregational Church, 25 Columbian St., South Weymouth, Wednesday, May 29, at 10 O'clock. Rev. Jennifer Barrett Siegal will officiate. Relatives and friends are invited to attend.Visiting hours at the Sweeney Brothers Home for Funerals, 1 Independence Ave., Quincy, Tuesday 4 - 8 p.m Interment in North Weymouth Cemetery.
