Francis A. Martin, age 82, of Weymouth, entered into eternal life on December 12, 2017 after succumbing to a brief illness. Francis was born and raised in Braintree and lived in Quincy for many years before moving to Weymouth 10 years ago. He served in the Massachusetts Army National guard, Yankee Division and played in the military band at President Kennedys inauguration ceremony. He graduated from Boston University and was a self-employed musical instrument instructor. In addition, he worked as a funeral assistant at several local funeral homes. Francis loved music, art, theatre, food, family, international travel, and all the cherished Boston sport teams. Beloved son of the late Francis and Julia (Trojano) Martin (Marachino), he had also been pre-deceased by his sister Lorraine Barrie. He is survived by his sister Gloria Kraus and her husband Peter of East Northport, N.Y., along with many loving nieces, nephews, cousins and dear friends.
