Maura,
I was just talking about Joe the other day to a student who had worked with us, Michael Kelly and his wife Laura, He is someone who will always be in my heart. He was my mentor and one of the nicest men I had the pleasure to know for many years. He was a true Boston College man, that will always be remembered. Love to You.

Dear Maura,
I am sorry that you have lost your beloved Joe. I have been humming the song Love Changes Everything since I heard the news. Your love story is an inspiration and you two embody what the verse in Corinthians says about what love is and is not. Joe adored you--I remember once sitting with him in the park while you walked Dottie. He kept looking to see if you were coming back. He simply adored you. He was the mayor of the Webb park and I think he assumed a similar position. You, his golden Rose, taught me the meaning of unselfish love, steadfast devotion and incredible sacrifice. I know that Joe held your hand as you stood up and gave a heartfelt tribute to the man you loved every day of 39 years. I know that he will continue to hold your hand. Love does change everything. Peace be with you. Love, Kathy
