Anne M. "Nancy" McDonald of Weymouth, formerly of Brookline, died after a long and happy life on December 30, 2016, surrounded by her loving family. Born in Boston, she graduated from St. Marys High School in Brookline. Anne worked over 40 years at Verizon as a Central Office Technician retiring in 2003 with the birth of her grandson. An avid Patriots fan and season ticket holder since she was 18, Anne also enjoyed the Red Sox and hanging out at the Whipple Senior Center in Weymouth. Beloved wife of 44 years to the late John H. McDonald (2010), she was the loving mother of John G. McDonald, Mary C. Quigley and her husband Tom all of Weymouth. Sister of John ORourke of Boston, Jean ORourke of Weymouth and Claire Rice of Randolph. Also survived by her cherished grandson T.J. Quigley. Her funeral to which relatives and friends are invited to attend will be held Friday, January 6, at 9:15 a.m. in Sacred Heart Church, 55 Commercial St., Weymouth. Burial to follow at the Massachusetts National Cemetery in Bourne. Visiting hours Thursday, January 5, from 6-8 p.m. in the Hamel, Wickens & Troupe Funeral Home, 26 Adams St., Quincy Center.
