Annette Mariani Obituary
Annette DiGiusto Mariani, age 80, of Weymouth, died peacefully at the Pat Roche Hospice House in Hingham, surrounded by her family on December 28, 2017. She now joins her beloved husband Steve who recently passed in April. Born in Quincy March 31, 1937, she was the daughter of the late Frank and Irma (DelGreco) DiGiusto. Annette was a graduate of Quincy High School. She was employed by John Hancock in Boston before marrying Steve and moving to Braintree to raise their family. She really enjoyed watching all sports. She was an avid Patriots and Red Sox fan. She also enjoyed watching golf on TV and bowled in a candlepin league for many years. There was no escaping sports having been married to Steve for 58 Years! She was very crafty and artistic with floral arranging and decorating for the holidays. Back in the day you could always find Annette on the beach but more recently she loved spending time by the pool and gathering for Sunday family dinners or cookouts. Most of all she loved spending time with family, especially her grandsons who she loved dearly and was so proud of. They were the light of her life. Annette was the cherished wife of the late Robert Steve Mariani. She is survived by a daughter, Debbie Setterlund and her husband Roy of Orleans; a son, Robert Mariani and his wife Karen (McKeon) of Weymouth; three grandchildren, Matthew Mariani and his wife Juliann, Tyler Setterlund and Nicholas Mariani; two great-grandchildren, Dominic and Maverick; two brothers, Robert DiGiusto of Pembroke and his late wife Pat and Richard DiGiusto and his wife Ann of Braintree. She was also grandmother of the late Derek Setterlund. Memorial Mass held at St. Johns Church 44 School St Quincy on Friday, January 5, at 11 a.m. Relatives and friends are invited to attend.
