Douglas P. Shaw Obituary
Douglas Paul "Bonsey" Shaw of Houghs Neck, Quincy, died at the age of 84, on October 26, 2016. Douglas served his country with honor in the US.. Army during the Korean War, and was a member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars, the American Legion and the Quincy Yacht Club. He is survived by his children, Cheryl of Watertown, Douglas and his wife Kathy of Pembroke, Diane of Falmouth, Pamela Wallace and her husband Kevin of Quincy, and Paula DiCarlo and her husband Paul of Raynham. He was the proud grandfather of Lee, Stacy, Joshua, Lindsey, Matthew, Jessica, Alyssa and Dylan; and great-grandfather of Patrick, Nicholas and Abigail. Also survived by his brothers, Richard Shaw and Lawrence Shaw; many nieces and nephews; and extended family members. He was predeceased by his daughter, Nancy Lee and her partner, Robert Goodrich, in 1997. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend his visiting hours Tuesday, November 1, from 3-7 p.m. at the Hamel, Wickens and Troupe Funeral Home, 26 Adams Street, Quincy Center. Funeral and interment service at the Massachusetts National Cemetery, Bourne, will be private. In lieu of flowers, donations in memory of Doug may be made to Harveys Salt Water Fishing Club, 8 Harveys Lane, Quincy, MA 02169. Hamel, Wickens & Troupe Quincy Center
