Jean S. (Petze) Donahue of Weymouth, formerly of Braintree, passed away Feb. 5, 2013. Jean had lived in Weymouth for over 50 years. She was an incredibly artistic woman with a hand in painting, knitting and sewing. She leaves behind many afghans, paintings and even dollhouses with family members to remember her by. She also enjoyed crossword puzzles and was an avid Red Sox fan. She will be sadly missed. Beloved wife of 52 years to the late Frank C. Jiggs Donahue Jr., she was the devoted mother of Patricia L. Krause and her husband Francis of Weymouth, Kathleen M. Pratt and her late husband Edward of Weymouth and Daniel R. Donahue and his wife Melissa of Whitman; loving sister of Anne Daley and her husband Harold of Middleboro; cherished Nin of Michael and Brian Krause, Caitlin Carnahan, Kara and E. Nicholas Pratt, Christopher and Gregory Donahue; and four great-grandchildren. Visiting hours were Monday, Feb. 11, 4-8 p.m. in the McDonald Funeral Home, at 809 Main St. (Rte. 18 opposite South Shore Hospital), South Weymouth. Funeral service was celebrated in the funeral home Tuesday at 11 a.m. Burial in Massachusetts National Cemetery, Bourne. Donations in memory of Jean may be made to either the Weymouth Food Pantry, 1189 Commercial St., Weymouth, MA 02189, or the Home For Little Wanderers, 271 Huntington Ave., Boston, MA 02115.
