John F. Parziale Obituary
John F. Parziale, age 93, of Middleboro, formerly of Quincy and Braintree, died peacefully, Sunday, October 20, 2013, at the Island Terrace Nursing Home in Lakeville, surrounded by his loving family. He was born in Stoneham, May 29, 1920, to the late John J. and Ella A. (Esenberg) Parziale. He was a graduate of Saint Patricks Grammar School in Stoneham and of Quincy High School, Class of 1939. John had lived in Middleboro for seven years, previously living in Quincy for over fifteen years and in Braintree for forty years. He had worked as an iron worker for twenty-five years with Quincy Ornamental of South Boston and retired in 1982. John earlier worked at the former L. Antonelli Iron Works in Quincy. John served in the United States Navy during World War II and received the World War II Victory Medal, the American Area Medal, the Good Conduct Medal, and the Asiatic-Pacific Medal. Beloved husband for sixty-five years of the late Jeanne M. (Hurley) Parziale who died February 12, 2013, he was the devoted and hardworking Dad to his seven children, Kathleen Zuffante and her husband Thomas of Wollaston, Thomas Parziale of New Durham, N.H., Jane Flynn and her husband Paul of Marshfield, Stephen Parziale of Weymouth, John Parziale and his wife Leanne of Middleboro, Linda Resca and her husband Paul of Weymouth, and the late Michael Parziale; loving grandfather of sixteen grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; and cherished great-grandson, the late Christopher Zuffante. He will live on in their hearts and memories. He was the dear brother of the late Anna Corvi, Eleanor Peachy, and Charles Buddy Parziale, Colonel, United States Army. Also survived by many nieces and nephews. At the request of the family, funeral arrangements were private.
