Joseph R. Fulginiti Obituary
Joseph Romaeo Jr. of Boston, formerly of Dedham, died February 4, 2017. He was the devoted husband of Ariana I. Fulginiti; brother of Gloria (Fulginiti) Gilman of Weymouth and the late Gregory Fulginiti; brother-in-law of Torben Bruck and Corinne Beck both of CA, and the late Darrow Bruck; uncle of Joy Buckley, Kathleen Brown, David and Patrick Gilman, and Jakob, Jillian and Ellika Beck. He was a former hair designer/colorist and entrepreneur of Salon de Coiffeur, Romaeo Hair Designers and Hair By Romaeo (1960s-1996), all located on Newbury Street in Boston. Prior to his commitment as a hair designer, which began with apprenticeships and prestigious work for clients in television, theater, as grooming instructor for Pan American Airlines as well as creative work involving high fashion models in New York City in the late 1950s and early 1960s, he had been a member of the Boston Musician's Union, commencing with his success on the Ted Mack Amateur Hour then subsequently, working for Decca Records in NYC and in professional engagements as a musician (accordion) and singer. Visiting hours in the George F. Doherty & Sons Wilson-Cannon Funeral Home, 456 High St., Dedham, Friday, Feb. 17, from 7-9 p.m. Funeral service in the funeral home Saturday, Feb. 18, at 11 a.m. Relatives and friends kindly invited.
