Raymond G.A. Pelletier, of Weymouth, age 95, Weymouth Firefighter, entered into eternal life on December 15, 2017. Ray was born and raised in Fall River, and has lived in Weymouth since 1956. Mr. Pelletier retired as a first class Petty Officer from the US Navy after 21 years, having served in both WWII and the Korean Conflict. Ray joined the Weymouth Fire Department in 1963 until 1983. He also worked for the former Hanson Wayside Furniture Store and also at Cabot Furniture, both in Weymouth. Mr. Pelletier was a ventriloquist featured on several tv shows including the Ed Sullivan Show. He belonged to the Weymouth Elks, American Legion Dalton Post in Holbrook, VFW post 1399 in Weymouth, Weymouth Eagles aerie 2899, and DAV chapter 29 in Braintree and he loved dancing, woodworking, playing musical instruments, and swimming. Beloved husband of 52 years to the late Catherine C. (Donovan). Devoted father of Raymond Buddy and his wife Rosemarie of Vermont. Thomas and his wife Diane of Onset, Brian and wife Janet of Pembroke, Garry and his wife Nancy of Pembroke, Patricia Aylward and her husband Steven of Watertown, Paul and wife Renee of Brownsville, Texas. Ray is survived by his longtime devoted companion Jeannette Dudley of Weymouth. Beloved brother of Laurette Pegden and her husband Richard of North Kingstown, RI. Florence Pinty Berube and her husband Robert of Fall River, Lucienne Tootsie Cabeceiras and her husband Joseph of Tiverton, RI., and the brother of the late Berthe, Gerard, Francis , Joseph and Armand Pelletier. Loving grandfather to 14 grandchildren including the late Ronald Pelletier and 19 great-grandchildren. Father-in-law of Linda Pelletier of Woodbridge, Virginia. Funeral from the Clancy-Lucid Funeral Home, 100 Washington St., Weymouth landing on Wednesday, December 20, at 9:15 a.m. Funeral Mass in the Immaculate Conception Church, East Weymouth at 10:30 a.m. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited.
