Thelma L. Powers Obituary
Thelma Louise (Timcoe) Powers, 67, of Houghs Neck, died February 12, 2017, as a result of injuries sustained in a house fire. She was the beloved wife of the late William Robert Powers, Sr. who died in 2001. She was the daughter of the late Willard and Mary (Harrington) Timcoe. A longtime Quincy resident, Mrs. Powers was a communicant of Most Blessed Sacrament Church of Holy Trinity Parish. She will be remembered as a giving and selfless person who would do anything for her family and friends. She was the mother of Robert M. Powers and his wife Tracy of Easton, Michael J. Powers of Quincy, William R. Powers and his partner Kerry Pollock and her daughter Jessica of Bridgewater, Christine M. Kalinowski of Tilton, N.H., and Christopher M. Powers and his wife MacKenzie of Villa Rica, GA; sister of Bill Timcoe of FL, Marianne McCormack and her husband Thomas of Quincy, Deborah Favorito of Quincy, Joseph Timcoe of FL, Thomas Timcoe and his wife Eileen of Quincy, Charles Timcoe of Quincy, Judith Morris and her husband Thomas of Quincy, and Michael Timcoe and his wife Karyn of Marshfield; grandmother of Zachary, Alexandra and Madeline Powers, Joshua Powers and his wife Devin, Tesla and Phaedra Kalinowski, Julianna Powers, Joey Ulrich and Gregory and Shane Murphy; great-grandmother of Alexsander, Elliot, Elijah, Oliver and Charlotte Powers. Also survived by many nieces, nephews, extended family and dear friends. Visiting hours Friday, March 3, from 4-8 p.m. at the Hamel, Wickens & Troupe Funeral Home, 26 Adams St., Quincy Center. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated Saturday at 11 a.m. in Most Blessed Sacrament Church of Holy Trinity Parish, 1013 Sea St., Houghs Neck. Interment to follow at Pine Hill Cemetery, Willard St., Quincy. In lieu of flowers, donations in her memory may be made to St. Coletta Day School, 85 Washington St., Braintree, MA 02184.
