Obituary Condolences

Francis G. Frank Cartolano, 82, of Weymouth, passed away peacefully in Weymouth, May 28, 2014. Husband of the late Dolores M. (DiPasquale) Cartolano. Frank was the son of the late Rose (Russo) and Robert Cartolano. Born and raised in Boston he had lived in Braintree for 44 years before moving to Weymouth where he has lived with his daughter and her family for the last 11 years. During the Korean Conflict he served in the US Air Force, and was stationed overseas and in the US. Frank was an electrician and longtime member of I.B.E.W. Union Local #103, Boston. He enjoyed his extended family, watching sports, especially his beloved Red Sox. Frank was also a member of the Sons of Italy in Braintree for many years. He is survived by his daughter Angela Andrews and her husband David of Weymouth and Denise Veneau of Rockland. Beloved grandfather to Jessica and Stephen Gilding, Lt. J.G. Brett Andrews, US Navy, Jennifer Veneau and Noelle Veneau. Also survived by his great grandchildren Tiffany and Kadence and many nieces and nephews. Brother of the late Mary Piscatelli, Virginia Joyce, Frances Falino, Jenny Cartolano and his brother Dominic Cartolano. Reposed at the Carwright -Venuti Funeral Home, 845 Washington St., Braintree until 9:15 a.m. Monday, June 2, followed by a funeral Mass at 10 a.m. in St. Francis of Assisi Church, So. Braintree Sq. Relatives and friends were respectfully invited to attend. Visiting hours was on Sunday, June 1, from 4 to 8 p.m. Burial in St. Mary Cemetery, Randolph.
